The "Différenci" series approaches product design from a different style and perspective than the usual ITUAIS.

This is a keyring made from Mariyam's "HORSE BUTT" (brown core) leather.

HORSE BUTT is a thick piece of horsehide sourced exclusively from the high-density fiber area of the hindquarters, specifically the region from the waist down.

Thanks to the Baccetta tanning process, which ensures the leather is thoroughly oiled, the surface has a moderate firmness and resilience, yet it retains the suppleness characteristic of horsehide and a refined quality that belies its dense, substantial thickness.

As you use it, the brown color underneath gradually becomes more visible, so you can enjoy how it ages over time.

The interior is made of "REGENCY CALF" leather by Charles F. Stead of the United Kingdom.

This full-aniline leather is made from carefully selected French calfskin hides. It is generously hand-rubbed with natural wax and oil, given an antique finish, and then pressed to complete the process.

This leather is also tanned using a large amount of oil, resulting in the characteristic variations in shade typical of oil-tanned leather; its defining feature is the numerous natural wrinkles and grain patterns it naturally possesses.

Depending on where you look, you might think there are a lot of wrinkles, but I feel like that actually suits this series perfectly, so I'm using it as is.

It's also commonly used in boots and offers outstanding durability.

This is another interesting type of leather that offers a different kind of aging process than horsehide.

Founded in 2013 in Santa Croce, Italy, MARYAM is an up-and-coming tannery specializing in high-quality horsehide.

While vegetable-tanned horsehide—which highlights the leather’s natural texture—is their signature material, this up-and-coming Italian tannery also works with a variety of other leathers, such as deer and kangaroo.

Although it is a relatively new tannery, having been founded by former employees of GUIDI, it consistently maintains a unique style—unlike any other leather—through its proprietary manufacturing methods, and its quality and technical expertise are of the highest caliber.
