■DESCRIPTION■

The signature work jacket of a well-known workwear brand has been reinterpreted by MINUS in this work.

As the name of the item suggests, he says the design started by delving into the keyword skin.

The pattern-making incorporates the concept of human engineering, not to mention the rough leather texture.

The leather used is tanning-tanned pigskin, a familiar material in MINUS' recent collections.

At present, he says, Pigskin is the only purely domestic product.

Although pigskin has an inexpensive image in Japan, in Europe it is highly regarded for its durability, flexibility and breathability, and is widely used for everything from luxury brand bags to accessories.

Fujimoto says he was attracted to this bias and set about developing the material.

The pigskin is slowly and carefully finished using very high grade tannin, which is not normally used for pigskin in Japan.

Not to mention the beauty of the aged look and feel.

Each piece is also individually silver-finished in the atelier using a nail butt to further enrich the expression.

Rustic edges, a standard detail in MINUS leather goods, and other shaded leather textures give the brand a decadent air.

Minimalist dahl parts at odds with the leather texture.
