【THE STORY】

For the 26AW collaboration with WILD THINGS, F/CE. reinterprets WILD THINGS’ signature products from its own unique perspective, drawing on F/CE.’s seasonal theme, “WREKONIZE.”

Based on the concept of “Impression (Traces),” we have beautifully expressed the accumulation of time and the patina of age that military gear has undergone through the subtle textures of delicate materials.

The collection features the original “Birch Camo” pattern—created by abstracting birch bark textures photographed in Finland and applying them as an all-over print—as well as unique textures achieved through techniques such as piece dyeing and bio-washing.

This 26AW collaboration collection blends WILD THINGS’ outdoor functionality with F/CE.’s design aesthetic, adding a fresh interpretation to existing products to transform them into items perfectly suited for urban living.

A 26AW model reimagined from F/CE.'s perspective, based on WILD THINGS' classic HAPPY JACKET.

Drawing inspiration from the U.S. military’s “ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System)” LEVEL 7—commonly known as the “Happy Suit”—this high-performance design has been updated to strike the right balance for urban living.

The outer fabric is made of a high-density, plain-woven nylon fabric.

By using a special fade dye, applying a highly elastic "paper-touch" coating, and then subjecting the fabric to a bio-wash treatment, we’ve achieved a deep, natural faded look and a dry, vintage-like texture.

It is lightweight yet offers adequate stiffness and durability, ensuring it functions effectively as an outer shell.

Primaloft Silver is used as the insulation.

By adjusting the amount of insulation compared to the original HAPPY JACKET, we’ve reduced excessive bulk and optimized the jacket for a comfortable fit that works well throughout the season.

Based on the concept of “Impression (Traces),” this collection expresses the history and passage of time inherent in military wear through the texture of the materials and the overall aesthetic of the pieces.

While prioritizing functionality, we strive to create a subtle presence that blends seamlessly into the urban landscape.

With practical storage features—such as a shoulder strap for carrying on your back, a front pocket, and an interior mesh pocket—this piece is versatile enough to handle a wide range of situations, from outdoor activities to everyday use.

An outdoor brand founded in 1981 in North Conway, Massachusetts, by John and Marie Bogard, two of America's leading mountaineers.
Born in Chamonix, Switzerland, into a family of mountain guides spanning generations, Marie became the first woman to successfully summit Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes, in 1984.
