Yamagata Kobo is a traditional woodworking company based in Nagai, Yamagata Prefecture.
Since 1973, the company has been manufacturing and selling wooden toys and folk crafts, and since 1978 has been producing competition kendamas approved by the Japan Kendama Association.
High-quality kendama, handcrafted by skilled artisans, are used in official competitions and are recognised for their precision and workmanship.
