In 1939, the French company Saint-Covin succeeded in manufacturing the world's first fully physically strengthened glass. In 1946, the DURALEX brand was established. The use of fully physically strengthened glass has resulted in glass that is approximately 2.5 times stronger than glass and has excellent heat and cold resistance, making it suitable for use in freezers and microwave ovens. Unlike regular glass, tempered glass has the unique property of not breaking into sharp shards even if it does break. Therefore, DURALEX glass is durable, easy to use, and has excellent cost performance, and is used in a variety of eating and drinking establishments, including cafes and restaurants.
