[Handling of leather products]

・Leather is a natural material. Small scratches, uneven coloring, and changes in texture are part of the natural texture of leather.

・Due to the nature of leather, friction, getting wet with water, sweat, etc. may cause discoloration. In that case, please be careful about the color transferring to your clothes.

・If it gets wet, it may cause rippling, fading, or stains. If it gets wet, wipe off the moisture with a soft white cloth that is not made of cotton and dry in the shade.

- Do not wash with water, thinner or benzene to remove dirt.

・Leather does not like moisture. Avoid storing it in hot and humid places.

[CITES traceability information]

ITUAIS exotic leather products are made from materials that are traded in accordance with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

[HCP (FRANCE) / Hermes Cuir Precieux]

Among the many leather materials, exotic leather is known as a high-quality material.

Due to international trade restrictions such as the Washington Convention, it is rarer than general leathers such as cowhide, and is treated as a luxury material by high-end brands.

However, due to its rarity, even high-end brands have difficulty obtaining it, which is currently causing them a headache.

Even Hermes, the leading luxury leather goods manufacturer, had the same problem.

In 1994, a new company was founded in France to solve this problem. Its name was Hermes Cuir Precieux (HCP).

This company was established with the aim of Hermes securing the world's finest raw materials.

Hermes originally acquired the French tannery CCP in 1923, which had long been known worldwide as a tannery supplying high-quality exotic leather.

By combining CCP's know-how with Hermes' technology and knowledge, the company was reborn as "HCP", a tannery thoroughly managed by Hermes, in order to produce the finest raw materials.

HCP currently owns four exotic leather tanneries in France (2), Italy (1), and the United States (1). The exotic leathers produced with the highest level of know-how are used by not only Hermes,

It is only available to other prestigious brands and selected high-end artisans around the world.

[CROCODILE POROSUS]

Crocodile is considered the most expensive of all luxury exotic leathers. There are several types of crocodile, including the Siamese crocodile and the Nile crocodile.

Among them, "Porosus" is the highest quality crocodile leather, which is extremely rare and reigns supreme among all leather materials.

Its official name is saltwater crocodile (small crocodile), but recently the academic name, porosus, has become more widely known.

Compared to other crocodiles, the Porosus has smaller scales and a very beautiful, well-balanced scale pattern.

People all over the world are fascinated by the beauty of these nearly evenly-spaced organs.

When we hear the term "highest quality material," we imagine something delicate and difficult to handle, but crocodile leather is actually the opposite.

It is lighter than cowhide, and because it has a firm texture it is resistant to deformation and tearing. It is a very strong leather that is relatively easy to handle, and its durability is said to be 10 times that of cowhide.

Furthermore, rather than deteriorating over time, it is a material that allows you to enjoy the changes it undergoes, and if handled properly, can even be passed down through generations, making it the ultimate material.

Wild crocodiles are classified as endangered wildlife and protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), so most crocodiles used in products are farmed.

Crocodiles can only be kept in a limited environment. They are aggressive animals, so as they grow, they start to hurt each other. Once they grow to a certain size, they need to be raised in individual rooms, because they cannot be used for products if they are injured.

In addition to the cost of food, labor and equipment costs are huge, which is why crocodile leather is considered a luxury material.

As the wild species continues to decline, its market value will undoubtedly continue to rise and it will become an even more luxurious material.

The HCP Porosus we selected this time is known around the world as the finest Porosus. HCP's facilities and the environment in which the crocodiles are raised are all thoroughly managed by Hermes, and 450 craftsmen work hard every day to produce the most beautiful leather.

HCP's Porosus, produced using the highest level of technology and management in all processes including breeding, dyeing, and finishing, is undoubtedly the world's best leather material.

Porosus is highly durable, so its impressive appearance will continue to change over the decades to come, becoming more attractive and exuding an aura.

[Box Calf ALPINE]

ANNONAY is a quiet town located in south-central France.

Annonay is a specialist tannery equipped to produce box calf leather.

Box calf is made using only French rawhide and tanned using high-quality spring water, resulting in a high-quality leather that is smooth, firm, and resilient.

The Box Calf ALPINE used on the inside is the highest quality box calf, characterized by a checkered grain pattern.

It has a very strong embossing, so it is resistant to bending, stretching, and scratches, and also has the advantage of not making scratches noticeable.

It also has a brilliant luster that accentuates the grain, making it an elegant box calf with a very lustrous appearance.
