Mizuno is releasing the "WAVE PROPHECY RING MOC SETSUMASA KOBAYASHI," created in collaboration with Setsumasa Kobayashi.

Setsumasa Kobayashi founded *GENERAL RESEARCH* in 1994 and, since the 2000s, has been a key figure in revitalizing Japan’s outdoor and fashion culture through *MOUNTAIN RESEARCH*.

In 2007, the "INFINITY MOC" he created in collaboration with Mizuno was a revolutionary design that incorporated the structural philosophy of a performance brand into the traditional moccasin silhouette.

The "WAVE PROPHECY MOC" is a model that directly inherits that DNA but has been reimagined not as a simple reissue, but as the "current Mizuno sports style," and this release is positioned as the culmination of that series.

Yet at the base sits the Wave Prophecy Sole, featuring a hollow design.

By masterfully balancing stability and cushioning—two qualities that are typically at odds with one another—this sole minimizes midsole compression over years of use, ensuring it retains its value over time.

Furthermore, in this model, elements such as the inner structure derived from the SKY MEDAL, the ring-shaped strap that secures the midfoot, and the dual-layer construction of a suede upper and mesh lining are arranged in an extremely sporty and logical manner—a stark contrast to the shoe’s understated appearance.
